What are the hours of operation?
The park is currently open seven days a week during daylight hours, but is closed on Tuesdays until noon for maintenance. (NOTE: If you are visiting the park on Mondays close to sunset, please help by picking up tennis balls and other dog toys, and putting them somewhere, such as within the walled structure or on top of the picnic tables, so the maintenance person will not run over them if mowing the next day.)

What about the stone wall structure? Is there a plan to put a water feature there?
The Moanalua area is rich in history. At one time, Iemi Spring, a stopping place for the ali'i, was located under the overpass. When the overpass was built in 1973, a monument was erected so people would know Iemi Spring once existed in the immediate vicinity. The monument is located at the present site of the dog park, near the stone wall. It is uncertain if the stone wall was part of a fountain or a koi pond, but because of its historical significance, the City and County does not intend to modify it.

Some park users have asked if the City plans to fill the structure and make it a water feature. There are many dangers and costs associated with a water feature and filtration, so the City has no plans for a water feature in the future.

Are there any public restrooms available?
Yes! The City has recently completed a comfort station located near the tennis courts and jungle gym.

Is there a pay telephone in the vicinity?
There is a pay phone directly in front of the Moanalua Recreation Center.
