The Moanalua Dog Park was opened in April 2004 through the efforts of the Moanalua Gardens Community Association, who originally "adopted" the park under the Department of Parks and Recreation's Adopt-a-Park Program.

The dog park is now under the care of the First Class Petty Officer's Association (FCPOA) from the Naval Maritime Forecasting Center/Joint Typhoon Warning Center Pearl Harbor and its representatives.

The FCPOA will post signs on the bulletin board and gate a few weeks before scheduled clean-up dates. Volunteers are welcome to help, but please leave your dogs at home during the clean-ups.

We're currently looking for additional park monitors to help police the park between cleanup dates to ensure park regulations are being followed and weekly trash pickups are being done.
